My hope is that in sharing my life, flaws and all, I inspire another.
As a girl, I never really felt that I fit into any particular group. As a young adult, I didn’t know what career I wanted to pursue after high school. Upon graduating from college, I had no clear purpose for my life. Fast forward six years; I am married, a mother of two, and I am still looking into the future with wonder.
In the past, not having the answers to personal life mysteries would scare me but not anymore. I now wake up, face the day, and say, “okay, God. What are we going to do today?”
I am Quadriyyah, but you may call me Dri. I created simplymedri.com right after the birth of my oldest. Sometime after she was born, I remember holding her and thinking I am not much compared to X, Y, and Z. It took quite a while to get over the self-doubt, but I made it, and here we are four years later.
I know I am not the only one out there seeking the right path while family and friends forge ahead on theirs. I know I am not the only wife and mother that loves her husband and children but knows there’s more out there for her beyond just them. And I know I’m not the only Christian who wants to help a hurting world in some way while continuing to learn more about her loving Saviour.
I urge you to feel free not to have all the answers here. I hope that we learn more about life together through our flaws and all. I share my journey, my questions, and even some of the answers that I have found. I don’t pretend to achieve ultimate perfection, but I just speak as I am.
Welcome to Simply Me Dri! With this one life let us live, learn, and grow together.
