Capturing The Moments
As days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months, my due date slowly approaches. I am obviously excited about this new life that is growing inside of me, but I am absolutely still in awe with my daughter, Abriyannah.
She has so much energy and so much life which adds to my life. I enjoy our conversations and I truly understand how blessed I am to partake in them. She is so smart and her heart is so big.
I could go on and on but as you know most parents think their kids are amazing. I absolutely feel that my daughter is and that the next one will be as well.
Sharing Some Moments
My first trimester was full of moments when sleeping was my favorite activity. Now that I am in my second trimester, I am beginning to regain some of my energy back. This is great for my daughter because with the nice weather we are getting out more often.
Here are some moments from our time outside yesterday:
Moment #1: Making A Wish
Since she could walk, we have been going outside and making wishes on dandelions. It is still one of her favorite things to do.
Moment #2: Practice Makes Perfect
Once we reached the playground area she began pushing the empty swing. I asked her if she wanted me to push her. She said no because she needed to get practice pushing her baby brother or sister. This melted my heart!
Moment #3: Overcoming Her Fear Of Dogs
This is Chester our neighbor’s dog. She usually asks to pet the dog and then runs in fear. On this day, she walked right up to Chester and pet him. I love watching her grow and overcome her fears.
Moment #4: Let’s Go, Mommy!
As I mentioned earlier in this post, I am regaining my energy. Oddly enough, her energy levels are increasing as well. She doesn’t need sweets because she wakes up like this. LOL! #waitformommy #shewokeuplikethis
Moment #5: Trying To Build A Sand Castle
Once we were outside Abriyannah wanted to build a sand castle. I didn’t want to go back up the stairs to get the buckets so we used our imagination. She was pretty excited about this because she loves to use her imagination these days.
Moment #6: Trying To Escape Mommy
We played, ran, and had a blast for a full 50 minutes. After that, it was time to go inside and give her a bath. When I told her it was time to go inside she found the nearest tree and tried to escape. LOL! She keeps me on my toes.
She is growing up and I don’t want to miss a second of it. Things are going to change as our family grows but I want her to always know that she is not being replaced. Maybe it is my hormones or maybe all expecting moms feel this way but I really want her to know how important she is to me.
Thank you for enjoying the moments with me. There is so much more to come.
